Vinson Dispatch: Preparations for Move to Camp 1!

We just got a call from guide Willie Bene­gas, report­ing on the expe­di­tion in Antarc­ti­ca! Our Vin­son-Mas­sif team is doing very well.

They arrived at base camp last night. This morn­ing, Willie report­ed, there were winds gust­ing to 25 kilometers/​hour, but the tem­per­a­tures were mild, so the group went on a day hike to get their bear­ings. When we spoke to Willie tonight, the group was prepar­ing for tomorrow’s move to Camp 1.
