Everest Base Camp Wrap-up Report!

Part­ed and reunited.…Once we had climbed down from Base Camp into the thick­er air, we still had 3 days of hik­ing to return us to the Luk­la airstrip. Show­ers were a wel­come lux­u­ry along the way – plus we vis­it­ed a Bud­dhist nun­nery and had a small final par­ty with our staff. Our group of 3 returned to Kath­man­du while 2 remained for their high-alti­tude exten­sions – climb­ing the Ice­fall and Island Peak! A few days lat­er we caught up in Kath­man­du and part­ed again: Aman­da was head­ing home with 1000 pic­tures. Glenn and Becky had sprint­ed over to see the Taj Mahal before return­ing to fly out. Win­son is on his round-the-world trip and head­ing on to India, Egypt, Ger­many, and more! Richard is tak­ing a few days to relax in Kath­man­du and was able to meet Group 2 and share all his tips! Thanks, Group 1 for a fan­tas­tic trip! Way to go!!
