Vinson Team To Return to Punta Arenas

Mark Ryman just called in from Union Glacier with news that they will be flying off the icy continent sooner than expected. They are hoping to be picked up at 2 a.m. tomorrow morning to get ahead of some weather coming in and will be back in Punta Arenas, Chile by breakfast time.

As life at Union Glacier can get somewhat mundane after days of waiting for the flight to take them back to Punta Arenas, Mark, Jacob, Omar and Scott decided to get another short climb in while in Antarctica. They left out of Union Glacier Base Camp today to summit the 4,757 foot peak Mt. Rossman. They had a great climb with good weather and descended down the left ridge back into Base Camp. Everyone is getting excited to return to Chile and continue on to their various adventures.
