Mustagh Ata Expedition Camp 3 Dispatch
HelÂlo everyÂone. This is Casey HenÂley callÂing in from Camp 3 at 22,370′ on Mustagh Ata. We hope all is well with everyÂone at home. Jack and Susan are doing well. We had a bit of a crazy weathÂer day for our move up from Camp 2. It was beauÂtiÂful weathÂer when we left Camp 2. This was replaced by whiteÂout conÂdiÂtions preÂcedÂing a scary elecÂtriÂcal storm, more whiteÂout, then what felt like 100 degree weathÂer, more whiteÂout, and more 100 degree weathÂer. We are snugÂgled in now. It took us a while to get here but we are setÂtled in and makÂing hot drinks to re-hydrate and a good meal before we start our sumÂmit push tomorÂrow mornÂing. We’ll be wakÂing up around 3:30 a.m. and hopeÂfulÂly hitÂting the road between 6 and 7 a.m. That’s it for now. I’ll phone in a sumÂmit update hopeÂfulÂly tomorrow.
