Ama Dablam Expedition 11/14/08 dispatch

Hel­lo friends and fam­i­ly! Seth here call­ing in from Camp One with today’s dis­patch. Today we had a big day; the team woke up at Camp One after a long nights rest and every­one felt healthy after our first night sleep­ing at alti­tude. The team was feel­ing good so we decid­ed to climb up to the low­er ridge. We enjoyed many pitch­es of great climb­ing in the sun from Camp One to Camp Two on beau­ti­ful gold­en gran­ite! It only took us 2.5 hours to reach Camp 2. We then head­ed back down to Base camp, stop­ping at Camp 1 to have a small snack and rest. Now we are back at Base camp and we are enjoy­ing a big din­ner. It is a nice night tonight here at Base camp, we are hap­py to have clear weather. 

So the team is feel­ing good, we have a rest day sched­uled tomor­row so we are going to sleep in! Now we are head­ed to bed after a long full day. We will call again soon to relay our future plans for sum­mit attempt that’s com­ing in the near future! Every­one is healthy and hap­py and sends their regards to loved ones back home. Over and out!
