Ama Dablam expedition arrives in Base Camp!

We arrived here at base camp today, November 10th, safe and sound. We walked up today with Pasang Dawa, our young apprentice guide. We also got to meet our full crew here including our cook, Babu Ram. The crew has an amazing base camp set up! All the stops were pulled out: we have a shower, solar panels, heated cook tent, even an oven in the kitchen! So we are living large and everyone is healthy and happy. Today we had a beautiful morning meeting Lama Gushi and had a nice Puja ceremony to start the day.

It took us 2 hours and 15 minutes to walk up from Pangboche which was really good time. Now we are sitting at 4,600 meters at base camp. The whole crew is here. We had a really nice dinner and everyone is fat and happy. The mountain and the weather have been perfect, no wind, clear skies, no clouds and really high pressure. It is really cold right now, only 4 or 5 degrees Celsius. Everyone is sending their regards to friends and family back home!
