“All is great in Ecuador!”

MM guide Juliana report­ed in from the Ecuador School and Vol­ca­noes Expe­di­tion to say all is great in the Andes of Ecuador!

After some train­ing on the glac­i­ers of Cayambe the group made an ascent of Illiniza Norte is mixed con­di­tions, some clouds, but some sun too. Juliana called the expe­ri­ence ” a nice day in the moun­tains!” Today they will take a rest at Chilcabam­ba where they can enjoy some good food, a warm fire, and the com­forts of this lodge sit­ting beneath the beau­ti­ful Cotopaxi, their next climb- not a bad way to start the New Year!
