Aconcagua Polish Traverse Expedition resting at Camp 1!
Hello from Camp 1! Yesterday the team made an acclimatization hike up to 2nd camp; we made it there and back in good time-only seven hours! There was no wind, blue skies, and we all enjoyed the amazing scenery that surrounded us.
Guide Oswaldo Freire was particularly happy with the weather and mountain views yesterday; it was his and his wife’s 9th anniversary and he was missing her. Amber, Oswaldo sends you his love!
Today was a rest day for the team, we hung out, took time to hydrate and check our blood pressure and resting heart rate. Our team is doing well and excited to move forward. One team member, Pippo, was not feeling well and made the decision to descend down to Mendoza with one of our local staff. Everyone would like to send their love to friends and family back home. Ciao!
