Aconcagua Polish Traverse Expedition resting at Camp 1!

Hel­lo from Camp 1! Yes­ter­day the team made an acclima­ti­za­tion hike up to 2^nd camp; we made it there and back in good time-only sev­en hours! There was no wind, blue skies, and we all enjoyed the amaz­ing scenery that sur­round­ed us. 

Guide Oswal­do Freire was par­tic­u­lar­ly hap­py with the weath­er and moun­tain views yes­ter­day; it was his and his wife’s 9^th anniver­sary and he was miss­ing her. Amber, Oswal­do sends you his love!

Today was a rest day for the team, we hung out, took time to hydrate and check our blood pres­sure and rest­ing heart rate. Our team is doing well and excit­ed to move for­ward. One team mem­ber, Pip­po, was not feel­ing well and made the deci­sion to descend down to Men­doza with one of our local staff. Every­one would like to send their love to friends and fam­i­ly back home. Ciao!
