Castleton Tower with Mountain Madness guided trips

Moab Rock Climbing

Desert towers beckon you

Ancient Art, a spiralled noodle of a sandstone tower, defies all gravity, while Castleton Tower stands as a beacon over the Castle Valley, calling you. These are just a few of the incredible towers in the Moab, Utah area that await you. The Moab area also offers one of the friendliest climbing crags in the country, Wall Street. You can literally belay from the bumper of the car! The cliff offers climb after climb of varying grades (5.5 to 5.12) and styles. Venture up parallel crack climbs, low angle slabs, and steep face climbs — the choice is yours.

You can start your trip out on Looking Glass Rock, where three pitches of 5.5 slab and face climbing lead to the summit of the formation. The descent involves a long free hanging rappel past a spectacular natural arch! Once you’re ready, hop on some of the many other desert towers found in the spectacular Castle Valley, and get ready for the climbs of your life! And while you’re at it, take an extra day or two and experience the world famous cracks in Indian Creek.

Combine a climbing trip here with exploring canyons, rafting the Colorado, or jumping on a mountain bike for some world-class rides and you have a perfect desert experience!
