Aconcagua Polish Traverse Team Making Good Time
The Aconcagua Polish Traverse team is settled into Camp 1 after a very quick 3 hour move from Base Camp to Camp 1 today. As it usually takes upwards of 4 hours to make this move, the team is very excited to be benefiting from the wonderful, clear conditions and a strong team. When Ossy called on the satellite phone, everyone was huddled together in Ossy’s tent for an amazing dinner.
Jeroen has a message for his family: “Hello to Elisha and Sven from your daddy. I hope all is well in Sakhalin. I miss you both very much. Take good care of your mommy and I will see you in two weeks again.”
Tomorrow the team will carry up to Camp 2, where they will store a cache of their equipment and food for the other camps and return to Camp 1 for the night. They will check in again on Thursday!
