Aconcagua Polish Traverse Team Making Good Time

The Aconcagua Pol­ish Tra­verse team is set­tled into Camp 1 after a very quick 3 hour move from Base Camp to Camp 1 today. As it usu­al­ly takes upwards of 4 hours to make this move, the team is very excit­ed to be ben­e­fit­ing from the won­der­ful, clear con­di­tions and a strong team. When Ossy called on the satel­lite phone, every­one was hud­dled togeth­er in Ossy’s tent for an amaz­ing dinner. 

Jeroen has a mes­sage for his fam­i­ly: ​“Hel­lo to Elisha and Sven from your dad­dy. I hope all is well in Sakhalin. I miss you both very much. Take good care of your mom­my and I will see you in two weeks again.” 

Tomor­row the team will car­ry up to Camp 2, where they will store a cache of their equip­ment and food for the oth­er camps and return to Camp 1 for the night. They will check in again on Thursday!
