Aconcagua Team Summits!

Tino just called in on the sat phone from the cave” at about 22k’. He is with Todd and Steve, descending after a successful summit. Joshua and Tony also summited and are with them now. Sebastian is still on his way to the top with Ram and Geoff and it looks pretty good for them to top out, but they will have a long evening ahead of them to return to high camp. Tino and Joshua will be in radio contact with them and will monitor their progress, so stay tuned!

(photos from previous expeditions)

The morning started clear and quite cold. Everyone was climbing in parkas and puffy pants for the first part. By the time they reached the summit, cloud cover moved in and obscured the views but the temps were considerably warmer and not too windy. Pretty good summit conditions in general. Carole returned to high after a summit bid and a good effort to reach the summit.

We give the others a big congratulations and wish them a safe and speedy descent.
