Dragontail Peak Serpentine Arête

Serpentine Arête ascends an aesthetic ridge on the right side of Dragontail via a mix of low fifth-class rock, some easier scrambling, and some excellent crux pitches that add just the perfect amount of spice to the route and provides a reasonable challenge for intermediate level rock climbers and mountaineers. From the summit climbers are rewarded with stunning views of Mount Stuart, the Enchantments, and the azure blue of Colchuck Lake.

Combine this with a few days of warming up for the climb in Leavenworth, one of Washington’s rock climbing centers, and you have an ideal 3 – 4 day adventure. If so inclined, you can finish up the adventure back in the Bavarian-themed town taking in a bratwurst and sauerkraut washed down with a locally crafted brew and reveling in your time in the Enchantments and and the spiny Serpentine Arête on Dragontail.

This trip is done on a custom basis.
