Ama Dablam
On November 4th guide Seth Hobby and team members Mark Payne and Miguel Morais reported the following:
Our M.M. Ama Dablam 2008 crew is here and settled in its entirety. We went out on the city tour today and we went over all the information/gear checks, etc. All of us are healthy and happy to be here! In a half an hour we will go out to enjoy our last meal in town.…if you don’t count Namche, which is now a little city in the sky.
We will try to contact with you again on the 6th or 7th. It was a good decision to push the trip back to November. With 70+ climbers have been shut down this season already; this week was the first that trips were reaching the summit due to lots of snow and ice fall activity in October. Now the mountain seems to be settling and firming up with good conditions and a new steeper variation. Should be exciting! We will stay safe and sound. Wish us luck!
Namaskar!
