The horns of the Paine MasÂsif. Jaime PolÂlitte photo
MounÂtain MadÂness was invitÂed to attend the first ever “AdvenÂture TravÂel Week” offered by the AdvenÂture TravÂel Trade AssoÂciÂaÂtion hostÂed in the MagÂelÂlanes region of Chile. We are excitÂed to refine our trek in PatagÂoÂnia and take advanÂtage of the stunÂning advenÂtures the region has to offer. The trip is essenÂtialÂly a ten day tour of the best that the region has to offer in regards to advenÂture tourism. With an array of travÂel comÂpaÂnies and a handÂful of travÂel writÂers, the group is travÂelÂling throughÂout the region parÂticÂiÂpatÂing in difÂferÂent expeÂriÂences with the intenÂtion of drawÂing comÂpaÂnies to the area.

Giant iceÂberg! Jaime PolÂlitte photo
I just returned from a 3 day tour to the ParÂque TorÂres Del Paine where we were able to expeÂriÂence the specÂtacÂuÂlar towÂers of the Paine MasÂsif, boat up Lago Grey to see the the giant flow of the Grey GlacÂiÂer, and late-seaÂson skiing.

As a mounÂtain guide, it is often hard to release the reins and allow othÂers to take conÂtrol, but havÂing a chance to meet some of MounÂtain MadÂness’s partÂners in the region and do some specÂtacÂuÂlar guidÂed sea kayakÂing up Lago Grey proved to be a one of a kind expeÂriÂence. This jourÂney will conÂtinÂue with visÂits to two othÂer popÂuÂlar advenÂture travÂel areas in the southÂern region. So stay tuned!
