Mountain Madness was invited to attend the first ever Adventure Travel Week” offered by the Adventure Travel Trade Association hosted in the Magellanes region of Chile. We are excited to refine our trek in Patagonia and take advantage of the stunning adventures the region has to offer. The trip is essentially a ten day tour of the best that the region has to offer in regards to adventure tourism. With an array of travel companies and a handful of travel writers, the group is travelling throughout the region participating in different experiences with the intention of drawing companies to the area.

I just returned from a 3 day tour to the Parque Torres Del Paine where we were able to experience the spectacular towers of the Paine Massif, boat up Lago Grey to see the the giant flow of the Grey Glacier, and late-season skiing.

As a mountain guide, it is often hard to release the reins and allow others to take control, but having a chance to meet some of Mountain Madness’s partners in the region and do some spectacular guided sea kayaking up Lago Grey proved to be a one of a kind experience. This journey will continue with visits to two other popular adventure travel areas in the southern region. So stay tuned!
