New extension: Amazon Lodge in Peru!

Moun­tain Mad­ness is pleased to offer a relax­ing way to explore the Ama­zon Basin after trekking the Inca Trail to Machu Pic­chu or our oth­er adven­tures based out of Cus­co, Peru. This can be done as an 3 – 5 day exten­sion to the Inca Trail Trek, Inca Trail Deluxe, and Ausan­gate Trek and Climb trips. The Inkater­ra Reser­va Ama­zon­i­ca offers ulti­mate lux­u­ry while sur­round­ed by the lush Ama­zon rainforest.

These 35 thatched cabanas all have hot water show­ers and are sur­round­ed by the nat­ur­al won­ders of the Ama­zon. Sev­er­al VIP suites offer ample space and the excit­ing lux­u­ry of a plunge pool and hid­den out­door shower.

You’ll be able to explore the rain­for­est and its var­i­ous flo­ra and fau­na on extra­or­di­nary canopy walk­ways. Guests can also enjoy the excit­ing activ­i­ties of cruis­ing down the riv­er by twi­light or vis­it an indige­nous South­east­ern Ama­zon fam­i­ly and learn about their cus­toms, tra­di­tion­al dai­ly liv­ing, sub­sis­tence meth­ods and basic hunt­ing skills. The rich­ness of cul­ture and birdlife will pro­vide end­less pho­tog­ra­phy opportunities.
