Ideal Mont Blanc Summit

It was an amaz­ing evening on the sum­mit of Mont Blanc! We left the Gouter hut at 3:20 pm and enjoyed a crowd-free climb to the top. Sum­mit­ing at 6:50 pm, we took our time descend­ing, rev­el­ing in the incred­i­ble evening light cast upon the moun­tain. A tru­ly amaz­ing day in the moun­tains and a new friend made. 

Chris­t­ian sent in the above report from a trip in August- con­grats to Steve and Chris­t­ian in a sea­son among the worst weath­er-wise in his­to­ry! The sea­son just wrapped up with anohter ascent of Blanc, so things came togeth­er some­waht for the end of the sea­son. Remem­ber to book ear­ly for the Alps pro­gram net year to ensure a guide and hut reservation.
