Everest Updates 4/5/2017

Today, the EverĀest SumĀmit Team is on a rest and acclimaĀtiĀzaĀtion day in NamĀche Bazaar. Theyā€™re hikĀing around the local area and sightĀseeĀing while getĀting used to exerĀcisĀing at altiĀtude. Next, the team faces an uphill climbā€‰ā€”ā€‰litĀerĀalĀlyā€‰ā€”ā€‰losĀing and then regainĀing approxĀiĀmateĀly 1,400 feet of altiĀtude as they descend to the rivĀer valĀley then rise to TengĀboche at 12,678ft/3,867m. TengĀboche is the largest monastery in the region, and the cenĀter of Tibetan BudĀdhism for the KhumĀbu. Six days of trekking remain before the group is expectĀed to reach EverĀest Base Camp.
