Ama Dablam Expedition 11/13/08 dispatch

Hey this is Seth from Camp 1 on November 13th calling in with the daily dispatch!

We had a huge day today! Tonight we are sleeping high at Camp One at 5,600 meters. The team climbed up from Base Camp at 4,600 meters and got up here at Camp one around 3:45pm. We had pretty full packs and our mountain boots on as we moved a lot of our gear to set ourselves up for our summit ascent. The team is doing great; everyone moved well today! We were taking a slowly but surely pace, Bistaarai, Bistaarai” as the Nepali say.

Now we are tucking ourselves into bed for an early dinner and a long nights rest. We are doing good and feeling good! Are dinner has just arrived, so we are going to eat and go to sleep. I will try to call tomorrow and let you know how our day goes. Wish us luck and I hope that all of you back home are enjoying the full moon like we are here! This is the first day of Mani Rimdu, so it’s a pretty exciting day here in the Khumbu. So we are enjoying the celebration and waiting for the moon to rise. Over and out!
