Sharon attendÂed colÂlege in SeatÂtle and began climbÂing with The MounÂtaineers in 2010. She immeÂdiÂateÂly fell in love with the sport and lifestyle, and has climbed rock, snow, and ice from CanaÂda to MexÂiÂco to South AmerÂiÂca and Europe, but still believes the best alpine climbÂing can be found in the beauÂtiÂful North CasÂcades. She is pasÂsionÂate about introÂducÂing folks to the mounÂtains and sharÂing skills and expeÂriÂences that will help them exceed their goals and move beyond what they thought was posÂsiÂble. Sharon believes the mounÂtains are a sacred space, with endÂless lessons to teach us. Sharon is an AMGA CerÂtiÂfied SinÂgle Pitch InstrucÂtor, ApprenÂtice Rock Guide, ApprenÂtice Alpine Guide, Ice InstrucÂtor, and AIARE Course InstrucÂtor. AddiÂtionÂalÂly, she is a WilderÂness First ResponÂder and a Leave No Trace TrainÂer. She is curÂrentÂly trainÂing to be an ApprenÂtice Ski Guide and is activeÂly purÂsuÂing full IFMÂGA certification.
