Pancho Francisco Arroba

Born and raised in Quito-Ecuador, he began this pas­sion for the out­doors and nature as a teenag­er. Because of his inter­est for the envi­ron­ment, he stud­ied biol­o­gy and even­tu­al­ly got a master’s degree in Geo­graph­i­cal Infor­ma­tion Sys­tems. Pan­cho has sum­mit­ted peaks in the Andes of Ecuador, Peru, Aconcagua, and Patag­o­nia, and guid­ed many moun­tains around South Amer­i­ca. In addi­tion to moun­taineer­ing, he’s had note­bale rock climbs on El Cap­i­tan in Yosemite Val­ley, peaks in Montser­rat Catalun­ya, and La Esfin­ge in Peru. Pan­cho has a wilder­ness first respon­der cer­ti­fi­ca­tion, is part of the Ecuado­ri­an Moun­tain Guide Asso­ci­a­tion ASEGUIM, as well as cur­rent­ly being in the last stages of achiev­ing his IFM­GA certification.
