Innocent Willington

Inno­cent is a pas­sion­ate trip expe­di­tion leader who was born and raised on the slopes of Mount Kil­i­man­jaro. Flu­ent in var­i­ous Chag­ga dialects as well as Swahili and Eng­lish, he also under­stands some Ger­man, Span­ish and Chi­nese. His pas­sion for the nat­ur­al world began by observ­ing Kil­i­man­jaro as a child and it grew stronger as he vis­it­ed nation­al parks on class trips. After high school he com­plet­ed a 2‑year tour guide train­ing in Arusha fol­lowed by Alti­tude Med­i­cine and Wilder­ness First Respon­der cer­ti­fi­ca­tions. Today, he’s climbed Kil­i­man­jaro over 80 times, with cus­tomers from the ages of 8 to 83!
