Doug Bernard
SkiÂer, climber, advenÂturÂer, avalanche eduÂcaÂtor, milÂiÂtary vetÂerÂan, and curÂrentÂly purÂsuÂing trainÂing to become an AMGA/IFMGA guide, Doug began his lifeÂlong love of advenÂturÂing and buildÂing friendÂships in the mounÂtains at a young age in his homeÂtown of Ketchum, IdaÂho. WorkÂing towards guide cerÂtiÂfiÂcaÂtion with his menÂtors in the guide comÂmuÂniÂty and at MounÂtain MadÂness has allowed Doug to turn his pasÂsion for teachÂing and sharÂing expeÂriÂences in the mounÂtains into a proÂfesÂsion. ThroughÂout his life, the mounÂtains have always played an inteÂgral role in proÂvidÂing expeÂriÂences and buildÂing friendÂships as Doug purÂsued chalÂlenge, masÂtery, stoke, and conÂnecÂtion. Doug’s perÂsonÂal and proÂfesÂsionÂal work have allowed him the good forÂtune to ski and climb on five conÂtiÂnents. In his spare time, you can find him seekÂing out stoke in the mounÂtains with friends.
