Brooke Maushund
SpendÂing the betÂter part of a decade livÂing, workÂing, and climbÂing in Yosemite NationÂal Park, Brooke cut her teeth as a climber toilÂing away on El CapÂiÂtan and movÂing through the High SierÂra, includÂing mulÂtiÂple solo & A4 ascents. She’s dedÂiÂcatÂed her time to resÂcue and snow sciÂence, spendÂing mulÂtiÂple seaÂsons workÂing on Yosemite ValÂley Search and ResÂcue, ski patrolling,as an avalanche course instrucÂtor, an avalanche cenÂter employÂee, and on a resÂcue patrol on Denali with the NPS ClimbÂing Rangers. She is pasÂsionÂate about workÂing with peoÂple to help them betÂter underÂstand the natÂurÂal processÂes of the mounÂtains, and how to move through them more safeÂly. She is an expeÂriÂenced EMT, AIARE Avalanche Course InstrucÂtor, AMGA ApprenÂtice Rock Guide, is WinÂter MounÂtain WeathÂer ForeÂcastÂing cerÂtiÂfied, and is movÂing through the AMGA Ski Guide Track. She is as big of a snow nerd as it gets, comÂing from a field engiÂneerÂing backÂground workÂing on remote weathÂer staÂtions, so she’s always stoked to talk snow!
