Ben Mality

Ben has more than 100 ascents of Kil­i­man­jaro. Ben has become our expert guide on the moun­tain and safari, and one of Tanzania’s pre­mier guides. He enjoys shar­ing his exten­sive knowl­edge and pas­sion of the area’s nat­ur­al his­to­ry, and pro­vid­ing his guests with a local’s per­spec­tive on Tan­zan­ian cul­ture and his­to­ry. Ben was born in a vil­lage on Kil­i­man­jaro and went to pri­ma­ry and sec­ondary school and even­tu­al­ly attend­ed Sem­i­nary in Arusha before becom­ing a safari guide and then a moun­tain guide. He is flu­ent in Eng­lish, Chag­ga, Swahili, Maa­sai and French. Addi­tion­al­ly, he knows count­less rid­dles and is a bit of a card-shark.
