
Arthur Herlitzka
Arthur has worked as an alpine, rock, and ski guide since 2016. He has guided and climbed alpine routes and ski descents around the world, including the glaciated volcanos of Ecuador, high peaks in the Andes (Aconcagua, Argentina), Canadian Rockies, the Ruth and Tokositna Glaciers of the Alaska Range, Skiing in Takhinsha Mountains of Haines AK, numerous remote, technical alpine climbs and traverses in the Cascades of Washington and High Sierra of CA. First ascents/enchainments and fastest known times in Idaho, Zion UT, the Grand Canyon of AZ. Arthur is a passionate rock climber and skier and spends his shoulder seasons on the big walls of Yosemite, CA and Zion, UT. Teaching is one of Arthur’s favorite aspects to mountain guiding, and alongside avalanche education he balances his guiding work as an adjunct faculty member for Prescott College in AZ. Opening the door of nature and mountain travel to others brings him joy. Arthur looks forward to sharing the rope or skin track with you on the next foray into the alpine realm!
