Early Season on Mount Shuksan
The early season has been fruitful for Mountain Madness’ clients on Mount Shuksan. This past weekend we had success with climbers making it to the summit from both sides of the mountain. Among the many great routes on the mountain, the Fisher Chimneys and Sulphide Glacier remain the most popular and for good reason. The Sulphide Glacier which is a great entry level climb with a spectacular rock finish is just enough to give the beginner climber more then their money’s worth. The Fisher Chimneys, which provides the intermediate climber a diversity of terrain, offers moderate rock and some high traverses all before reaching the junction with the Sulphide Glacier.

Mountain Madness guides Thomas Greene, Brian Muller, and Jenny Konway led their clients successfully to the summit for what Jenny described as a “summit party”. Congratulations goes out to Tom A. for his success on the Sulphide Glacier route and Jim S., Tom D., Joseph K. for their summit via the Fisher Chimneys route.
