Paolo Aranoff

Pao­lo spent his ear­ly child­hood in moun­tain­ous New Mex­i­co and it left him with a life­long desire to roam the hills. Even after say­ing good­bye to the San­dias and mov­ing to Penn­syl­va­nia at the age of sev­en, he kept his love of the moun­tains alive through ski­ing and climb­ing. Pao­lo returned to the West for col­lege, study­ing eco­nom­ics at the Uni­ver­si­ty of British Colum­bia and explor­ing B.C.‘s Coast Moun­tain Range. After col­lege, he spent time in Chile, where he got the oppor­tu­ni­ty to per­fect his Span­ish, and climb, ski, and trek in the Andes. Pao­lo has tak­en the AMGA Alpine Guide Course, the AMGA Alpine Skills Course, a Pro I avalanche course, Out­door Emer­gency Care, and Basic Life Sup­port train­ing. He is excit­ed for anoth­er sum­mer of guid­ing in the North Cascades.
