Mark Pugliese

Mark start­ed climb­ing on the east coast in north­ern New York’s Adiron­dack Moun­tains, while attend­ing SUNY Platts­burgh’s Expe­di­tionary Stud­ies pro­gram. After mov­ing west, Mark began his guid­ing career in Wash­ing­ton State’s Cas­cade Range, and still guides there on a reg­u­lar basis. Mark’s big moun­tain expe­di­tion guid­ing expe­ri­ence includes peaks such as Denali, Aconcagua, Elbrus, and Oriz­a­ba to name a few. Mark is con­sis­tent­ly involved in the Amer­i­can Moun­tain Guides Asso­ci­a­tion and mov­ing towards cer­ti­fi­ca­tion. Mark cur­rent­ly holds a Wilder­ness First Respon­der, Avalanche Lev­el II, and AMGA Assis­tant Rock Guide certification.
