Trekking Grades

Trekking Grade: Easy
No Experience required. Little or no walking is required. Transport is by Jeep or airplane.

Trekking Grade: Moderate
Trekking involves 4-5 hours of trekking per day with an elevation gain occasionally of approximately 1000 feet. You should be in good physical shape and participating in 3-4, 1-hour minimum cardiovascular workouts per week before the trek.

Trekking Grade: Strenuous
Trekking involves 5-8 hours per day with large elevation gains of 1000-2000 feet per day at high elevations. You should be in great physical shape and participating in 4, 1-hour workouts per week before the trek. At least 1 to 2 days should include hiking with a small pack.
