Private climbs are a perfect way to spend time with friends and family and are convenient and easy to plan. Private dates can be arranged for nearly any time of the year and can be planned years in advance or weeks from departure.

At Mountain Madness all of our private trips will follow the same itinerary as our pre-scheduled climbs. This is because we believe we run the best program on the mountain and want to give you the best chance at summating along with your friends or family. FAQ's - Kilimanjaro Private Climbs:

How much does a private climb cost?
As long as your group size is a minimum of 4, then the price per person will be the same as our pre-scheduled dates.

What if we have fewer than 4 people in our group?
If you want to climb Kilimanjaro with a group size of fewer than 4 individuals, custom prices are available. Call our office for details.

What dates are available for private climbs?
Aside from the rainy months of April and May, any date is open to a private climb, however, the dates of the trip cannot coincide with the first two days of one of our regularly scheduled Kilimanjaro climbs. For example, if Mountain Madness is running a pre-scheduled Kili trip with a July 4th departure date, July 2-6 would not be available for a private departure date.

Can I make my own itinerary for the climb?
We believe that our 8-day Shira Plateau climb is the best route offered on Kilimanjaro, and we strongly recommend that any group considering a private climb use this itinerary. The classic Umbwe Climb itinerary is also an option. However, we can work with you if you have special desires.

Will I get the same services as a pre-scheduled climb?
Yes! There will be no difference in services provided on a private climb. You will still have the same qualified guides, up to date equipment, and optimal acclimatization program offered on our regularly scheduled trips.
